Degree in Economics and Business from Hogesschool Zeeland (The Netherlands), MBA from the European Business School, EMBA from the University of Navarra-IESE.

 

Fernando de Yarza is currently president of Grupo Henneo and president of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), which brings together 18,000 publications from more than 120 countries, making him the first Spaniard to hold the post. Previously, he was vice-president for a few months with Michael Golden, vice-president of The New York Times.

He has developed his professional activity in Telefónica-Terra in management control and content purchase and has been general manager of Dasa-Logística editorial before joining the Board of Grupo Heraldo, currently Grupo Henneo. Institutionally, in addition to being president of WAN-IFRA, he is president of the European Publishers Association (News Media Europe, NME), an organization that brings together more than 2100 European media, member of the editors' committee of the AEDE and of the Aragonese Economic Circle.
