Since 2019, following the enactment of the Royal Decree-Law on Time Tracking, all Spanish companies are required to perform attendance tracking. This regulation includes the following key requirements:
- All companies must maintain a daily time log for their employees, regardless of the type of work schedule
- It is mandatory to record the daily clock-in and clock-out times, as well as overtime hours, breaks, shifts, on-call duties, and holiday days
- Companies must retain these records for a minimum of four years
- Time logs must be accessible to employees and unions
- Employees must be informed of the distribution and duration of their workday
- Unions must be provided with a monthly report on the overtime hours worked by employees. To comply with time-tracking regulations, tools like KVP simplify and streamline the process, ensuring efficiency and adherence to legal requirements.
